Illustrations for the Adventure 'Preis des Korns'

On february 2009 Ulisses commissioned me the first time. The following illustrations were made for 'Preis des Korns', an adventure of the anthology 'Wahl der Waffen'.
Although I am not a big fan of anthologies - because the stories are often to rambling for the place, the number of words they have - I highly recommend 'Wahl der Waffen'. In contrast to the other anthologies from Ulisses, 'Wahl der Waffen' consists of only four adventures.

Fortunatly one of the authors, Alex Spohr, lives near to me and we (three friends of mine and me) had the opportunity to play 'Süße Träume' with him. It was fun and very exciting. 'Süße Träume' plays in an interesting ambient (Al'Anfa) and is full of suspencefull twists and combats. And I loved how he described scenes as a game master.

And then I met Tilo Hörter ('Branibor') at the RatCon (one of the biggest german roleplay conventions). Tilo Hörter is the author of 'Preis des Korns', the adventure I illustrated - but it was on a later date when I realised this, my memory for names isn't the best. I met him on one of the famous multiparallel adventures (six groups playing one adventure simultaneously in one room) - by chance he was the game master of my group. I played Shayariel Feuerkind and I was very lucky with my teammates and with him. Tilo is an excellent game master and narrator. I loved the fact that for him the story was much more important than any rules and that he was open for creative solutions. That made the adventure very appealing and enthralling.
